On Wednesday, January 20th at 1 pm EST (10 am PST), we will be hosting Chris DePuy of 650 Group for a fireside chat on 60 GHz wireless.
60 GHz is a free-to-use wireless spectrum that can transmit at low single digit gigabits per second, which is faster than most 802.11ac WiFi set-ups. Some Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISPs) are starting to use the technology. 60 GHz is suitable for fixed wireless access (FWA) and indoor applications. Outdoor 60 GHz is something of a substitute for 5G mmWave being used by some cellular operators. Cambium (CMBM) recently launched its 60 GHz cnWave product for residential and enterprise.
